1. Solar Installation

At Ashut Plastics, our dedication to environmental stewardship and operational efficiency drives significant investments in green energy.

In October 2019, we completed the installation of a 1.4-megawatt rooftop solar panel system, marking one of the largest green energy installations in Kenya.

Our primary motivation for this large-scale solar project was to drastically cut power billsand embrace cleaner energy.
This initiative underscores our commitment to both environmental responsibility and smart
business practices.

2. Rain Water Harvesting & Community Clean Up

Notable Projects
  • Mount Kenya Reforestation: In 2017, Ashut pledged to plant 5,000 trees on the slopes of Mount Kenya, contributing to vital reforestation efforts for one of Kenya’s most iconic natural landmarks.
  • Factory Greening: Demonstrating our commitment right at home, Ashut has also planted trees across its factory grounds, enhancing local biodiversity and greening our operational footprint.
  • Community Clean-up Drives: We actively participate in clean-up drives, helping to preserve the natural beauty and ecological health of key areas like Mount Longonot, Ngong Hills, and along Waiyaki Way in Nairobi.
